LadyA Strong - One Year Since Diagnosis
Anastasia and I reunited with our mutual friend Chelsea, who brought us together last November for her first photoshoot, less then a week before Ana underwent a lumpectomy, months of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy and a full reconstruction, the latter of which she is on the tail end of now. All of this occurred in the past year, since at the age of 26 she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage II Breast Cancer.
Documenting her journey over this last year has been an honor and a privilege which I don’t quite have the words to express just yet. Ana’s good and kind nature and relentless drive to always be looking forward, always smiling, always finding the silver lining, it is truly inspirational to the n’th degree.
